A busy month of May...

Jude turned 8 montths old on the 23rd April and I have to admit, we have not stopped since then! It has just been one thing after another and of course, the happy snaps have fallen by the way-side (sorry!!!!). We had the trip to Brisbane, followed by two very busy weeks at work for me, Beek Week 09 and the Beef Ball, Mother's Day, another work week, Hen's nights, another trip to Brisbane and then back to Rocky next week for a wedding, visitors for the long weekend in June and then up to the Whitsundays for a weekend getaway. So, whilst I am surprise we are all remembering to breath, I have been a massive slacker for the lack of blog updates and photos. Yes, thank you to those who remind me weekly! Despite this, I have managed to get some snaps throughout the month but they are not too exciting..........

Winter feels like it has hit! Here is Jude, just turned 8 months old and in his new PJ's for winter. This is a rare moment of him actually staying still!!! Jude has really picked up the pace of the crawling, and picked up the volume of his voice!!!

All smiles and full of mischief now that he is motoring around

The past 4 weeks has been a massive month of growth and development. To give you an idea of size, he is 8 months old and in most size 1's or alternatively at the end of his size 9-12months clothing. He is up to the next size nappies, and I would probably guess around 11kg. His feet are HUGE - evidenced by the fact that his 12-18month socks are too small for him. He is quite fast on all fours, has added 'dada' to his vocab, he is a jabber jaws, knows 'no' but also ignores us when we say it with a big smile on his face, has 4 teeth (with a 5th cutting through as I type), is still a massive eater, loves Presley and Fleur (mum and dad's cat), and enjoys being read to with his favourite book being DOGS and Spot goes on Holiday.

Mum and Dad at the Beef Ball

With the Beek Ball being the night before Mother's Day, I was not is the best shape for my first one! But, I still struggled out of bed at 7.30am for a big cuddle and kiss from Jude. Jude had Nanna up from Brisbane (lucky boy) which was so fabulous and great for Dale to spend the day with his mum. Thoughtful Jude organised a weekend up at the Whitsundays in June as a thank you pressie. However, I honestly believe that we are the lucky ones and need to be thanking Jude for being such a fabulous baby. I think we are very fortunate and have had an easy run, Jude has trained us well!

Next on the list of social ventures was a trip to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for a weekend with some very good friends, Ash and Jodie. Jude Loooooves them so much which is very obvious when he is his true cheeky, LOUD self. No holding back for those he feels comfortable with! Their property is amazing, cows, creeks, views of the whole coast line, rainforest, walks, fireplace, just amazing. Thank you so much guys for having us!!!

Chilling with daddy after a 'hard' day on the property exploring
(and trying to drink daddy's beer)
Heading down to the creek, stopping for a quick cuddle
The glasshouse mountains are in the backgroud but unfortunately it didn't show up : (

Hmmm, large brown Presley's

A little unsure of those large brown Presley's

Taking the wheel from Jodie!

Jude has been lucky enough to spend a bit of time with baby Annie over the past few visits to Brisbane. She is getting so big so quickly. It is amazing how much babies/children loves other babies/children..., perhaps number 2 will be easier again??? Hmmmmm.....

Cuddles with Annie

My friend Annie

A few silly snaps from last night chilling out with Grandma before heading off to bed....

Oh, so cute!

Happy Nudie
